Newly elected ward chair receives assassination threat

MUGU, June 24: An unidentified group has threatened to take  life of  newly  elected ward chairman of Khatyang Rural   Municipality-8.

MUGU, June 24: An unidentified group has threatened to take  life of  newly  elected ward chairman of Khatyang Rural   Municipality-8.


Ward Chairman Ram Bahadur Rawat received the  assassination threat when he was sleeping in the rented building of the ward office.

According to him, a group of hooligans came at night and ordered him to open the door. When he did not open the door, they threatened to take his life before they left. They also tried to smash the window with an iron rod.


Police have started a manhunt following the complaint lodged at the police station.


Rawat was running the ward office in a hired private house from Friday.
