The NFC brings goats and chyangras to Kathmandu from various places outside of the valley for Dashain and sells at subsidised rate.

The total 500 chyangra has been transported to Kathmandu from Mustang so far for the festival this year, while efforts were on to bring 500 more, Neupane said.

Likewise, of a total of 1500 goats to be imported from Dang and Hetauda, 200 have reached the valley while others have been stuck on the way due to rains, he added.
