KATHMANDU, June 9: A three-year agreement has been signed between the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
The agreement was signed on Thursday in Kathmandu. Now, a complaint can be filed with the Human Rights Committee of Qatar about the violation of the human rights of Nepalis who have reached Qatar for employment.

After the agreement, Murari Prasad Kharel, Secretary of the NHRC, said that there was an MoU for three years between the Human Rights Committee of Qatar and the NHRC. He said that this agreement will play an important role in protecting the rights and rights of Nepali workers working in Qatar.
He also said that if the human rights of Nepalis in Qatar are violated, complaints can be filed in Nepali language and a Nepali desk will be set up there. He also mentioned that the committee has agreed to monitor the companies where Nepalis work to ensure the human rights of Nepalis in Qatar and to understand the problems of the workers and inform the Qatar government.
According to Secretary Kharel, the NHRC has reached an agreement with the Human Rights Committee of Qatar for the second time and an agreement has been reached with the committee in 2015 as well.
