NIBL hands over insurance compensation

KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) has provided Rs 100,000 to Ganesh Kanu Baniya as an insurance compensation following death of its account holder Jashoda Devi Kanu Baniya under 'Surakshya Bachat Khata' scheme.

KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) has provided Rs 100,000 to Ganesh Kanu Baniya as an insurance compensation following death of its account holder Jashoda Devi Kanu Baniya under 'Surakshya Bachat Khata' scheme.



Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that its Regional Branch Manager Ram Raj Upadhyaya handed over the check for Rs 100,000 to Ganesh, the legal heir of the deceased Jashoda Devi.



"NIBL has been providing a facility of free life insurance of Rs 100,000 or accidental death insurance of Rs 200,000, in association with Nepal Life Insurance, at minimal balance to all its Surakshya Bachat Khata account holders," reads the statement.



"The facility is available for every Nepali citizen of age 18 to 60 upon opening of 'Surakshya Bachat Khata' through any NIBL Branch," it added.
