KATHMANDU, July 30: Police have arrested nine people for gambling along with Rs 1 million in cash.
On Monday evening, a team from the District Police Office, Kathmandu, and the Maharajgunj Police Station arrested nine people from Chundevi in Kathmandu.

The individuals arrested are, Karib Deula, 21, from Budhanilkantha Municipality-5, Ashok Lama, 46, from Sindhupalchowk, Narayan Labung, 38, from Taplejung, Nilesh Maharjan, 21, from Basantapur in Kathmandu, Rajesh Shrestha, 45, from Kathmandu, Sarita Deula, 33, from Budhanilkantha, Deepak Maharjan, 48, from Dallu in Kathmandu, Bibek Maharjan, 48, from Kalimati in Kathmandu, and Prakash Shah, 50, from Dallu in Kathmandu.
According to Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Navaraj Adhikari of the District Police Office, they were arrested while playing cards at the house of Yam Kumari Ale in Chundevi, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4.
Furthermore, police have seized Rs 1 million in cash and 13 dice from the individuals.
