Nine more police personnel at police headquarters test positive for coronavirus

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nine more police personnel at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, have been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nine more police personnel at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, have been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


According to Kuber Kadayat, spokesperson for Nepal Police, 44 police personnel working at the police headquarters were found infected by the novel coronavirus during tests conducted this week.  


"Of them, nine police personnel tested positive for coronavirus today," Kadayat said. Those police officers who tested positive for COVID-19 are undergoing treatment at the APF hospital in Balambu.

According to the police spokesperson, 221 police officers have tested positive for COVID-19 as of today since the coronavirus outbreak. "Of them, 100 police personnel recovered," Kadayat said.
