DAILEKH, April 27: A 38-year-old man from Dailekh returned home last week from India. Now his entire family is infected with coronavirus.
The man died while being taken to the Provincial Hospital for treatment from Dullu Hospital. After his death, the hospital confirmed that he had contracted coronavirus.

The deceased’s neighbor and his family members living in Dullu Municipality-2 were tested. Nine people, including his family members and a neighbor, tested positive for COVID-19. Eight of them are his family members and one is a neighbor. Ghanshyam Bhandari, mayor of Dullu Municipality, said that the deceased’s wife, 13 and 14-year-old sons, three grandparents, two uncles and a neighbor were infected with the COVID-19.
According to Thirprasad Regmi, acting chief of the Health Service Office, Dailekh, coronavirus was found in nine of the 25 neighbors, including family members who were tested. “I am terrified of the fact that people are entering the district from India,” he said adding that there is a lack of testing kits in the district.
