NMA demands action against those manhandling doctors in Patan Hospital

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has demanded action against the culprits who assaulted doctors of Patan Academy of Health Sciences.

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has demanded action against the culprits who assaulted doctors of Patan Academy of Health Sciences.


On November 4, the NMA demanded action against those beating doctors and health workers working in the senior citizens' ward.

The NMA has mentioned that such unusual and worst activities against doctors and health workers on duty will have a serious impact on the overall health service delivery.


86-year-old Janamaya Rai of Okhaldhunga and 68-year-old Krishna Nagarkoti of Lalitpur died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital. The deceased woman had pneumonia, while Nagarkoti had pneumonia as well as a liver disease.


Relatives of the patients protested that both the patients died within a few minutes after being administered the medicine.
