NMB Bank, DKC Japan sign pact

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: NMB Bank Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dai-ichi Kangyo Credit Cooperative (DKC) of Japan to facilitate banking requirements of Nepali population residing in Japan and Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: NMB Bank Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dai-ichi Kangyo Credit Cooperative (DKC) of Japan to facilitate banking requirements of Nepali population residing in Japan and Nepal.

Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that the key highlight of the MoU is that the Japanese company shall provide employment and loans to Nepali individuals in Japan based on referrals of NMB Bank Ltd. Mobuyuki Nitta, chief director of DKC, and Sunil KC, CEO of NMB Bank, signed the agreement during 3rd Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values held in Kochi, India, according to the statement.
