KATHMANDU, July 1: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced an increase in petroleum product prices following a Board of Directors meeting held on Sunday.
Effective from midnight, the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene have been raised due to increased costs from the Indian Oil Corporation, NOC’s sole supplier of petroleum products.
NOC hikes prices of petroleum products
The new rates are Rs 2 per liter higher for petrol and Rs 5 per liter higher for diesel and kerosene. In first-category areas like Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, petrol is now Rs 164.50 per liter, and diesel is Rs 154.50.
In second-category areas, petrol is Rs 166 per liter and diesel is Rs 156 per liter.
In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, classified under the third category, petrol is now Rs 167 per liter, and diesel is Rs 157 per liter.
The prices of aviation fuel and LP gas remain unchanged as per the Corporation’s announcement.
