SURKHET, Dec 29: The high-altitude districts of Karnali have been witnessing heavy snowfall since Sunday. It has snowed heavily in villages including Humla, Dolpa, Mugu, and Jumla. Meanwhile, It has snowed up to two feet in these villages on Wednesday.

Normal life has been hit by the snowfall in Northern Simikot as well. Simikot has recorded a temperature of minus 12 degrees Celsius. The cold has forced the locals to stay inside the warmth of their homes.
Meanwhile, villages including Malimi, Muchu among others in Namkha Rural Municipality, Humla have recorded up to four feet of snow.
