NPC routs Kakadvitta 2-0, enters semi-final

DHARAN, Feb 5: Nepal Police Club (NPC) has entered into the semi-final of the 20th edition of Budha Subba Gold Cup underway in Dharan on Monday.

DHARAN, Feb 5: Nepal Police Club (NPC) has entered into the semi-final of the 20th edition of Budha Subba Gold Cup underway in Dharan on Monday.


Being held in Province Stadium, NPC entered into the semi-final, defeating Kakadvitta Club by 2-0.

In the 20th minute of the tournament, NPC took lead agaisnt its opponent after Bikash Thulung of Kakadvitta Club made a suicide goal. 


NPC's  Suman Lama scored another goal against Kakadvitta Club in the 64th minute, clinching a victory. 


Lama declared ‘Man of the Match’ of the tournament. 


Earlier, Sankata and India's team Durgapur Steel have already entered into the semi-final by defeating Manang Marshyandi and tournament organizer Dharan respectively.


As many as eight teams - organizer Dharan Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club, Three Star, Sankata, Nepal Police, Sudurpaschim Khaptad, India’s Durgapur Steel, AFC Kalkatta, KFTC Jhapa 11 -  are taking part in the 20th Budha Subba tournament.
