KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has cautioned individuals and institutions not to use the online platform to pay for bettings, or else they will have their bank accounts frozen.
Citing an increasing number of bets being carried out through the digital system, particularly during the ongoing World Cup 2022, the NRB has warned the people involved in such gambling to refrain from such activities.

Just on Monday, the police arrested two men including an Indian national on the charge of online betting. On November 18, police arrested over 20 people on the charge of being involved in online betting during a cricket match between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates played at the TU cricket ground.
