NSC pays CAN employees' wages

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: National Sports Council (NSC) has provided the due wages of last five months to the employees of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Thursday. CAN employees were not paid salary since the association's suspension from International Cricket Council (ICC) last April.

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: National Sports Council (NSC) has provided the due wages of last five months to the employees of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Thursday. CAN employees were not paid salary since the association's suspension from International Cricket Council (ICC) last April.

Keshav Kumar Bista, Member Secretary of NSC handed the check of Rs 945,348 to the Chief Operating Officer of CAN Chumbi Sherpa. NSC handed over the money after receiving permission from the Ministry for Youth and Sports under the condition that CAN shall reimburse the amount after ICC reinstates it.
