KATHMANDU, Aug 17: A voting under the 11th General Convention of the Nepal Students Union has been delayed.


Earlier, a voting of the General Convention of the union was scheduled to begin from 7 am  but due to some hassles seen in the candidacy row, the process has been delayed. The central leaders are trying to convince some candidates to withdraw their  candidacies.

“The election under the 11th General Convention of the Nepal Students Union has been delayed as some central committee leaders are trying to convince some candidates to withdraw their candidacies,”  Prem Bahadur Chhantyal, a candidate for the post of Vice-President under Adivasi Janati category, told Republica Online.


Over 500 have filed their candidacies for the 129-member working committee in the convention.
