Number of Covid-19 cases in Sindhupalchowk reaches 29

SINDHUPALCHOWK, June 22: With two more females diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Monday, the Covid-19 tally in Sindhupalchowk has now reached 29 including one death case.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, June 22: With two more females diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Monday, the Covid-19 tally in Sindhupalchowk has now reached 29 including one death case.


A 24 years old female from Balefi Rural Municipality-1 and a 39 years old female from Barabise Municipality-7 have tested positive for the virus. The ladies were staying at the Regional Quarantine Center in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality.

According to Senior Public Health Officer Durgadutta Chapagain, the two females tested positive for the virus through throat swab sample tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku.


The lady from Balefi Rural Municipality had returned from India and the other lady from Barabise Municipality is a Kuwait returnee. Earlier on June 11, eight other ladies among the 23 who had returned from Kuwait had also tested positive for the virus.


The infected two ladies will undergo treatment at the Isolation Center of Barabise Primary Health Center, according to Chapagain.
