This decision follows the removal of Ranjita Shrestha as the party leader and the appointment of Arun Chaudhary as the new parliamentary party leader.

PM Dahal is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence in parliament on Friday, July 12.

Previously, under the leadership of Ranjita Shrestha, the NUP had supported the Dahal-led government.

However, following Shrestha’s removal from the post of parliamentary party leader, the NUP decided to retract its support.

The NUP has four members in the federal parliament.
