Oli accuses NC of obstructing parliament

KATHMANDU, April 12: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Singha Durbar on Friday to discuss the conclusion of the current parliamentary session.

KATHMANDU, April 12: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Singha Durbar on Friday to discuss the conclusion of the current parliamentary session.


After the meeting, Oli said that the session would end and be reconvened later.

“The parliamentary session ends. Another one starts again. This is what happens,” he stated, adding that the Nepali Congress (NC) is obstructing parliament.


The NC lawmakers have been demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate the involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in misappropriating cooperative funds. The meeting of the House of Representatives is adjourned until April 14.
