One held in fraud case

KATHMANDU, May 28: Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has held one person in a fraud case. Police has arrested Saroj KC on Sunday from Samakhushi.

KATHMANDU, May 28: Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has held one person in a fraud case. Police has arrested Saroj KC on Sunday from Samakhushi.


KC is former personal assistant of Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narsingh KC.

According to the bureau, KC received handsome amount of money from a doctor to arrange the academic scholarship for Medical Director at Health Science Academy. However, the doctor received the fake letter though his name was included in the final list of the scholarship.


Following the incident, police had filed the case against KC and the Kathmandu District Court sentenced him a jail term for one year and penalty. With the influence of power, KC was at large.


At the time of verdict, KC was serving as an aide to Minister KC. However, he was fired from the post once his case was proved.
