One kilogram of gold seized from TIA

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: About one kilogram of gold has been recovered at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: About one kilogram of gold has been recovered at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Thursday. 


The seizure occurred around 4 PM when Indian nationals arriving from Qatar via Mumbai were found to be carrying around one kilogram of gold.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Krishna Hari Sharma, Chief of TIA Security Office, stated that the gold was concealed within two pants. Among the individuals apprehended is an Indian national Mohammad Jason.


Three days ago, an Indian citizen was arrested by the TIA police with about 855 grams of yellow colored semi-solid substance that looks like gold.
