KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Police have arrested one more person in connection with the assault on two doctors in Hetauda.
As part of a six-point agreement reached between the government and the Nepal Medical Association (NMA), police have arrested one individual, with arrest warrants issued against five more individuals involved in the assault on the doctors. Among those arrested, Sunil Pakhrin has been apprehended.

This action follows the commitment to take legal action to ensure the safety of healthcare workers and medical facilities, as outlined in the agreement.
Previously, four individuals involved in the incident had already been arrested, and arrest warrants were issued against five more individuals.
On September 13, Dr Bikas Thapa and Dr Prasant Bidari, both working at Sancho Hospital in Hetauda, were assaulted on duty. In response to the assault, doctors across the country suspended their regular services, except for emergency cases, in protest. The government subsequently formed a negotiation team led by Additional Secretary Dr Bikas Devkota, which resulted in an agreement comprising six points.
