Due to incessant landslides from the upper part of the road, it was hard to remove the debris. According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, two machines were used to remove the landslide starting from 7 AM, which made it possible to clear the road.

DSP Raj Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson at the District Police, Kavrepalanchok, said that the work to remove the debris and resume two-way traffic is underway under the supervision of the police personnel.

According to DSP Shrestha, there is still a risk of landslides in that area. Due to the landslide, around two hundred meters of the road was disrupted. Hundreds of vehicles had been stranded waiting to pass since last night. However, small vehicles were advised to use alternative routes.
