Over 1.8 million people get full dose of vaccine against COVID-19 in Bagmati province

BAGMATI, Sept 7: A total of 1,848,588 people in Bagmati Province have received both doses of vaccine against COVID-19 so far.

BAGMATI, Sept 7: A total of 1,848,588 people in Bagmati Province have received both doses of vaccine against COVID-19 so far. 


According to the Social Development Ministry of the Province, 32 percent of people above 18 years have been vaccinated with a full dose against COVID-19 inside the province.

14 percent of the population or 615,666 people of the Province have received their first shot of the vaccine so far.  Similarly, the number of people above 18 years, who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus infection is 3,364,106. 


According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as many as 4,895,152 people have been administered full doses of vaccine against COVID-19 across the nation while 5,533,794 people have received the first shot of the vaccine so far. 


Police have distributed masks to 1,102,322 people for free of cost under the 'Where is your mask' campaign launched by the Nepal Police in order to prevent and control COVID-19 infection.  


According to the Nepal Police headquarters, the campaing was launched from April 19.
