Paanch Pokhari wins Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 cricket tournament

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Paanch Pokhari Cricket Club has won the fourth Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 cricket tournament defeating Royal Indoor Cricket Club on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Paanch Pokhari Cricket Club has won the fourth Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 cricket tournament defeating Royal Indoor Cricket Club on Friday.


A total of 16 domestic cricket clubs had participated in the 10-day tournament, organized by the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina handed over the prizes to the winners. Timilsina, on the occasion lauded the efforts of the embassy in organizing such annual event and noted that such events would contribute in further strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Pakistan. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Mazhar Javed vowed to further expedite the embassy’s efforts deepen relations between youths of the two countries. He further added it was an important pillar to establish people-to-people contacts between the two countries.


Cricket kits, brought from Pakistan, were also given to the winners for their spectacular performances.
