KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has expressed serious objections over a notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd which states taking video of the 'Ganga Aarati' ritual held on the bank of the Bagmati river at the Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps at the core area is strictly prohibited.
Issuing a notice on Friday, PADT Executive Director Laxmi Pun said that PADT has taken strong exception to the notice published by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd using PADT’s logo. She clarified that PADT has nothing to do with the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.

The notice states that taking video of the Ganga Aarati organized on the bank of Bagmati river in Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps in the core area is strictly prohibited.
“We notify that action would be taken in accordance with the Digital Copyright Act if the video contents taken here are uploaded or shared for commercial purpose in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube," reads the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.
