Palpa police launch campaign against wild mushroom

PALPA, August 2: The District Police Office (DPO) Palpa has launched a campaign against the consumption of wild mushrooms. The campaign that aims to make people aware of poisonous wild mushrooms follows the cases of frequent deaths from the consumption of poisonous mushroom harvested from forests.

The campaign kicking off under the Community-Police Partnership Programme with the slogan of "let's not eat wild mushrooms, stay safe" covers eight municipalities and rural municipalities in the district, said the DPO Palpa.


Likewise, the police have sought the cooperation of local social workers, the business community, people's representatives and common people to fight against the risk of natural disasters and its consequences, drugs abuse, violence against women, domestic violence, girls/women trafficking and alcohol consumption as well.
