Palpa Police to launch public security program

PALPA, Sept 28: District Police Office, Palpa has launched a public security program targeting the upcoming Dashain festival.


“With the festival just around the corner, we have planned to step up security condition to control possible irregularities and disorderliness during the festival", SP Hari Raj Wagle told Republica Online.


According to him, police will set up help desks at various places including Tansen Bus Park, Harthok, Aryabhanjyang, Rampur and deploy mobile teams at Dobhan Banstari, Burtung, Ramdi, Tahu and Mujhung, Argali areas.

 During the public security program, police personnel will launch interaction with transport entrepreneurs, carry out irregular and abrupt trafficking checking, take action against those vehicles carrying passengers beyond their capacity and charging exorbitantly.


Besides, the police will also take action against drunk-driving to minimize possible vehicular accidents.


“Palpa police will keep close tabs on robbery, theft, pick-pocketing, cheating, gambling, illegal sale of alcohol, artificial shortage of goods, price-hike and adulteration to maintain law and order,” said Wagle.  


SP Wagle said that they will deploy mobile security teams and plainclothes police personnel in the the core market areas, banks and along the major roads leading to the market.
