Parliament likely to pass loan-shark bill today

KATHMANDU, July 16: Preparations are being made to pass the bill against loan-sharking today, aiming at making a law to give justice to loan-shark victims.

KATHMANDU, July 16: Preparations are being made to pass the bill against loan-sharking today, aiming at making a law to give justice to loan-shark victims.


The House of Representatives (HoR) has included the passing of the bill on loan-sharking in the agenda of Sunday's meeting. The Business Advisory Committee meeting that was held on Sunday prepared the agenda for passing the bill on loan shark on Sunday itself.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung will present a motion to pass Bill 2080 BS, which originated in the National Assembly to amend some Nepal Acts related to the Civil Code. Earlier, the bill had also been scheduled for quarterly discussions.
