Party unification need of people: NCP leader Pokharel

POKHARA, Jan 9: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel, has said that the unification between then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) was the need of the nation and the will of the party leaders and cadres.

POKHARA, Jan 9: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel, has said that the unification between then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) was the need of the nation and the will of the party leaders and cadres.


DPM Pokharel, also secretariat member at the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in a Party cadres' meet here today, opined that all should cooperate in developmental agendas. He shared that the most of the unification works were completed and the upcoming central committee meeting of the party will complete the remaining tasks.

DPM Pokharel said that the developmental activities could not get speedy momentum in the past as the government remained busy in drafting laws in line with the constitution but it would be accelerated in the days to come. DPM Pokharel, also chair of Nepal Trust, shared that the Trust was doing its business following the laws and its policy. "


The property of the Trust would be utilized for the benefit of the people", Pokharel added. On another note, leader Pokharel asserted that the border issues with India would be resolved to adopt the diplomatic channel and process for the same was underway. "Border issues were common concerns to all; therefore, consent and concern of all should be addressed in such sensitive issues," he said.
