KATHMANDU, May 12: As Nepal posts the highest single-day rise in new COVID-19 cases almost daily, hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley are overwhelmed and suffering from the lack of supplies and beds.

KATHMANDU, May 12: As Nepal posts the highest single-day rise in new COVID-19 cases almost daily, hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley are overwhelmed and suffering from the lack of supplies and beds.


Most of the hospitals in the Valley are treating COVID-19 patients on chairs and in corridors.

Over a dozen hospitals have announced to stop admitting COVID-19 patients for treatment, citing a severe shortage of medical oxygen.
