KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has convened a special meeting of the Council of Ministers today to address the evolving situation in Israel and the urgent rescue and repatriation efforts for Nepali citizens affected by recent events.


The meeting, scheduled for 4 PM at Singha Durbar, will delve into the latest developments in Israel, the status of Nepali citizens in the region, the government's diplomatic initiatives to facilitate their safe return, technical aspects of the rescue operation, and related matters.

After the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister has summoned an all-party gathering, slated for 5 PM at Singha Durbar. This assembly is expected to deliberate on the situation in Israel, focusing on the security and well-being of Nepali citizens affected by recent incidents.


In the wake of the Saturday morning attack on Israel by the militant group Hamas, Prime Minister Dahal has remained deeply concerned about the situation and has been actively taking measures on behalf of the government to address the crisis.


Additionally, the government has established a tax collection and rapid information system to expedite the repatriation of Nepali citizens seeking to return home from Israel.
