PM Dahal for punishment and reward provision in bureaucracy

CHITWAN, Sept 28: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today pledged government support for upgrading the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital so that it can compete with the international community as a cancer treatment center.

CHITWAN, Sept 28: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today pledged government support for upgrading the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital so that it can compete with the international community as a cancer treatment center. 



Addressing a function held at the hospital premises, PM Dahal said the government was positive towards allocating budget to the hospital necessary for purchasing necessary equipments and building physical infrastructure. 



On the occasion, Health Minister, Gagan Kumar Thapa, instructed the hospital staff to work in the service of the people without hesitation. Minister Thapa said the hospital built by the Chinese government remained as a symbol of the friendship between the two close neighbors. 



He also stressed on replacing the older equipments with modern and high capability equipment. 



Hospital's Executive Director Dr Chin Bahadur Pun said the hospital had served around 114,000 patients last year and provided cost-free treatment to children below 15 years of age and elders above 75 years. 



He called on the government to allocated necessary budget as the hospital was facing problems in treating the patients with old equipment. 



PM Dahal visited all the departments in the hospital and held talks with the patients and their kin. They had complained about the delay in treatment procedures at the hospital. 



PM directs office chiefs

PM Dahal directed the office chiefs in the district for a fast-track service to the people. "We need to reform the trend of sluggish process and non-transparency in the country," the PM Stressed. 



He also called for enforcing the provision of punishment and reward in bureaucracy to establish a trend for punishing wrongdoers and encouraging those working sincerely. RSS
