PM Dahal and former PM Dr Bhattarai discuss Socialist Front formation

KATHMANDU, June 16: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai discussed current issues including the latest political situation in the country.

KATHMANDU, June 16: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai discussed current issues including the latest political situation in the country.


Chairman Bhattarai said that in the discussion held today at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, there were important discussions on PM Dahal’s recent visit to India, the federal budget, the rest of the peace process, including the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Former PM Dr Bhattarai said that various issues including the proposed Socialist Front were discussed on the occasion. According to him, it has been agreed upon to finalize ideas, policies, programs, and organizational methods to build a broad socialist front in order to take the society in the direction of continuous progress while protecting the achievements of the federal democratic republic so far.


"We have reached an agreement, I request everyone not to get involved in rumors”, he said, adding that there is an agreement to proceed with serious discussions between all possible parties on the matter.
