KATHMANDU, March 31: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is holding a meeting with the loan sharking victims today. 


Prime Minister Dahal has agreed to hold a meeting with the victims this evening after the second round of talks held between the loan sharking victims and the government team at the Ministry of Home Affairs earlier in the morning. The two sides have agreed to sit again on Saturday to address the demands of loan sharking victims.

Speaking to the media after the discussion, Manoj Kumar Paswan, the coordinator of Loan Sharking Victims Struggle Committee (LSVSC), said that the Prime Minister Dahal will visit the place where the victims are staying by this evening. He said that the discussion with the government was also positive.


He said, 'There was no full agreement. Even today, we had a 10-point demand. We discussed those demands seriously. The discussions have yielded positive outcomes. We are told that the Prime Minister will come to meet us. 


The agitating victims said the next round of talks is scheduled for 11 am on Saturday. “This is not a minor problem. It is a serious problem. This is the reason why it is taking  a long time. It is said that the Prime Minister will visit the Tamobuddha monastery of Bhatbhateni in Anamnagar by this evening,” said Panswan.
