PM Dahal, Home Minister Shrestha to visit flood-affected districts today

TAPLEJUNG, June 19: In the wake of the devastating floods and landslides that caused significant loss of life and property, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will embark on a visit to the affected regions in eastern Nepal, including Taplejung, Panchthar, and Sankhuwasabha, to assess the situation firsthand.

TAPLEJUNG, June 19: In the wake of the devastating floods and landslides that caused significant loss of life and property, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will embark on a visit to the affected regions in eastern Nepal, including Taplejung, Panchthar, and Sankhuwasabha, to assess the situation firsthand.


Local security sources have confirmed that Prime Minister Dahal will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha during the visit. Additionally, member of the House of Representatives and former Minister Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai will join the delegation.

Goma Devi Chemjong, the Chief District Officer of Taplejung, shared that there is a planned itinerary to visit areas affected by landslides and floods. "First, there will be a visit to Sankhuwasabha. Then there are plans to assess the situation in Taplejung," Chemjong informed. 


Earlier in the morning, a delegation led by MP Bhattarai visited the official residence of the Prime Minister Dahal in Baluwatar. The delegation urged the government for immediate relief and rescue efforts to help the flood and landslide victims.
