PM Deuba announces to bear treatment cost of former PM Khanal from state coffers

KATHMANDU, July 20: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government would bear all costs of treatment of former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, who is currently undergoing treatment in New Delhi, India.

KATHMANDU, July 20: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government would bear all costs of treatment of former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, who is currently undergoing treatment in New Delhi, India.

Prime Minister Deuba made the announcement during a telephone conversation with Khanal on Tuesday. Deuba made the telephone call from the residence of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal when he visited there to inquire about the health condition of Dahal’s wife.


Khanal is currently undergoing treatment in New Delhi after some complication was seen in his kidneys. Earlier, the outgoing Prime Minister K P Oli had also announced to bear all treatment costs of Khanal from the state coffer.
