KATHMANDU, May 3: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended his best wishes to the members of the Nepali Muslim community within the country and abroad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today.
In the greetings message, Prime Minister Deuba has also wished for the health, happiness, peace and progress of all Nepalis from the Muslim community. Stating that unity within religious and cultural diversity is our identity and strength, Deuba argued that it was our common responsibility to preserve and promote our invaluable assets such as religions, festivals, cultures and traditions.
President Deuba extends tribute to late Gurung
The PM asserted that the State has adopted the policy of development, preservation and promotion of cultural and religious heritages and assets. "I am confident that the Eid festival would further encourage one and all to promote our festivities, cultures and traditions," reads PM Deuba's message.
The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Eid festival would contribute to further strengthen national unity and foster brotherhood and goodwill among all communities in the country.
