PM Oli discharged from hospital

KATHMANDU, March 13: Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli has been discharged from TU Teaching Hospital this evening after ten days of his kidney transplant.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli has been discharged from TU Teaching Hospital this evening after ten days of his kidney transplant.


PM Oli was admitted to hospital on March 2 and had his kidney transplanted on March 4.

PM Oli was discharged today following significant improvements in his health.


Deputy Minister Ishwor Pokharel, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Gyawali and Health and Population Minister Bhanubaktha Dhakal also reached the hospital.


Samikshya Sangroula, the niece of the prime minister, who had donated her right kidney to Oli, was discharged from hospital on Wednesday.


Meanwhile, PM Oli took to Twitter to inform that he has returned to his residence after a 12-day stay at hospital. He also thanked the doctors and health workers involved in his surgery.


"I'd like to extend my hearty thanks to all Nepali brothers and sisters home and abroad for wishing for my speedy recovery," writes he.
