KATHMANDU, March 16: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sent a message of condolences to his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern on the loss of innocent lives in Friday's mass shootings at mosques in Christchurch.
In his message, Oli has strongly condemned the heinous act of terrorism and stated that indiscriminate killing of innocent people is an affront to humanity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.

Saying that such brutal and inhuman acts cannot be justified under any circumstance, the prime minister has stated that terrorism in any form and manifestation needs to be dealt resolutely.
Prime Minister Oli has also extended deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of New Zealand as well as the bereaved families of the victims and wished for speedy recovery of those injured, read the press statement. The mass shooting killed 49 people and wounded dozens on Friday, prompting the New Zealand prime minister to vow reform of the country’s gun laws.
The attack, which Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern labeled as terrorism, was the worst ever peacetime mass killing in New Zealand and the country raised its security threat level to the highest, according to Reuters.
