The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) on Wednesday inspected the technical section of the DoP in Tripureshwor. The team held discussions with the Director General of the Department, Administration and software support technical team about the problems, according to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s Press Coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma.
The OPMCM team directed the bodies concerned to resolve the problem immediately, drawing a conclusion that the company did not resolve the problem as per the agreement and people had to face problems due to negligence on the part of the company, added Sharma.
The OPMCM also asked the DoP to make an action plan immediately for required infrastructural and policy-level reform and revise the arrangement to distribute passports to service seekers without staying on a long queue.
Prime Minister Dahal on Tuesday had directed the secretaries of the ministries to make the arrangement for smooth service at the offices where there is a high flow of service seekers within a month.
