KATHMANDU, May 18: Police have arrested six individuals involved in the theft of gold and silver jewelry and cash from a house in Lalitpur.


Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested six individuals for stealing the valuables and cash from the house of Nabaraj Gurung of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-21, Khokana.

Among those arrested are 37-year-old Kamal Thapa Magar and 35-year-old Dhanlal Thapa Magar of Doramba Rural Municipality-4, Ramechhap, 28-year-old Subas Sunar of Melamchi Municipality-6, Sindhupalchok, 41-year-old Resham BK of Tokha Municipality-3, Kathmandu, 41-year-old Yogesh Dangi of Saptari and Mohammad Samir of Surunga-14, Saptari.


The arrested Dangi is the manager of a mobile shop at New Road Tamrakar Complex. According to the police, he bought and sold stolen mobile phones. Samir is also said to be involved in buying and selling mobile phones.


According to police, they were arrested from various locations on different days. Gold and silver jewelry, cash and iPhone were stolen from Gurung's house from April 13 to April 21.
