Police destroy more than 1,000 litres homemade liquor

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha, today raided local pubs producing and selling home-brewed liquor and destroyed a huge quantity of the same in the area.

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha, today raided local pubs producing and selling home-brewed liquor and destroyed a huge quantity of the same in the area. 


Police raided the local pubs at Nayabasti of Gorkarneshwor municipality-6 and Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6, and destroyed more than 1,000 litres of homemade liquor, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bouddha, Narendra Chand.

Police also seized ingredients used to produce the liquor, added Chand. Police raided the local pubs in presence of local people's representatives, different organisations and journalists and destroyed it.
