Police fires bullets to subdue drug dealer in Morang

KATHMANDU May 14: Police arrested a drug dealer in Morang on Tuesday.


According to SSP Govinda Thapliya, the police resorted to firing two rounds of bullets after the drug dealer tried to attack a policeman. Police arrested the drug dealer during a joint operation conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau and the District Police Office.

According to SSP Thapaliya, the drug dealer has been identified as Bhagirath Harijan, a citizen of Kisanganj-8, Bihar, India.Harijan sustained injuries due to the police firing and has been admitted to hospital for treatment. An Assistant Inspector also sustained minor injuries, SSP Thapliya said.
