KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Police have raided a house in Kathmandu that was full of expired chocolate bars of the Snickers brand.
A three-story house at Kalanki in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 was full of expired Snickers chocolate bars, according to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.

“Acting on a special tip-off, we raided the house and found that the building was full of expired imported chocolates. The smugglers were about to change the labels on the wrappers of the imported chocolate,” Superintendent of Police, Ishwar Karki, told Republica.
Karki further added that the amount of chocolates hidden in the building is huge. “People from the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection Management are at the incident site to ascertain the amount of the expired chocolate,” he said, adding that seven Indian nationals have been arrested from the incident site.
“All the rooms of the building were full of chocolates. Police have already sealed the building,” he said.
Preliminary investigation has found that there is a racket of smugglers in Kathmandu supplying expired chocolates to the market. “Police are further investigating to bust the racket,” he said.
