Police set to arrest rape-accused former DSP Rajkumar Khiuju

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Nepal Police is all set to arrest rape-accused former Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Khiuju, police said on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Nepal Police is all set to arrest rape-accused former Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Khiuju, police said on Thursday.


Acting on a complaint filed by a woman, the police are preparing to arrest Khiuju. In her complaint, the woman has accused him of raping her for consecutive six months when he was serving as the chief of  Metropolitan Police Circle, Chapagaun.


Khiuju retired from the service some two months ago. However, Khiuju has denied the rape allegations.

Earlier on January 31, Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) had suspended Senior Superintendent of Nepal Police Saurabh Rana on the charge of sexually abusing a woman.


Likewise, Rana had surrendered to police on February 2.
