Poudel stresses understanding for constitution enforcement

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 18: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on Saturday emphasized the need for political parties to show flexibility and mutual understanding for the implementation of the constitution.

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 18: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on Saturday emphasized the need for political parties to show flexibility and mutual understanding for the implementation of the constitution.


He was referring to a crisis of trust among political parties that has taken place lately.

Poudel said what he found during his Tarai visit was that Madhesi people want the state to grant them citizenship cards in easier manner and provide them with decent opportunity in every state's organs as well as assurance of inclusiveness and federalism.


NC leader Poudel was speaking at a program organized by the Dadhiraj Subedi Puraskar Pratisthan, Biratnagar to honor two people from literature and journalism background.


"It is a need to address the demands of Madhesi people as they are being confronted with feelings of discrimination, suppression and hate," he said. RSS
