PPL, Grande Hospital sign medical partnership deal

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: The Pokhara Premier League (PPL) has signed a medical partnership deal with Grande International Hospital for the upcoming season of the tournament. 


Managing Director of the Queen’s Events Management Chhumbi Lama, who is the organizer of the PPL, and the hospital’s Medical Director Dr Chakra Raj Pandey signed on the agreement paper amid a function in Kathmandu on Monday.

According to the agreement, Grande will provide doctors, physiotherapists for the medical treatment of the players along with other medical equipment needed throughout the tournament, 


Pandey said that Grande had been treating injured players for a long time and that they are happy to coordinate with the PPL. Likewise, Lama said that he was thankful toward the hospital for its services it is providing to the cricket players during the tournament.  


National team captain Paras Khadka said that he was thankful to the hospital for its treatment of players like Prithu Baskota, Amrit Bhattarai and Gyanendra Malla in the past and helping the players return fit to play cricket. He also expressed his confidence that the hospital would keep on providing treatment to the players while keeping them in the topmost priority. 


The tournament, which will run from October 26 to November 6, will be played at the Pokhara Stadium. A total of six teams are taking part in the tournament and the teams, marquee players along with the auction of the players have already been finalized.
