KATHMANDU, April 14: President Ram Chandra Paudel awarded 45 artists including Rajesh Hamal, Neer Shah, Deepak Raj Giri with honors and medals on the occasion of New Year on Friday. President Paudel distributed medals at a ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas.
Madan Krishna Shrestha, Neer Shah, Hari Bansha Acharya, Rajesh Hamal and Nanda Krishna Joshi received the prestigious Rashtradeep Bibhushan. Deepak Raj Giri, Shambhu Rai (Kuthumi), Pradeep Lal Shrestha, Ashok Sharma, Alokshree (Surya Kumar Khati), Deepak Jangam, Ananda Karki, Arjun Shrestha, Gyanu Rana, Niruta Singh, Chetan Sapkota, Biraj Bhatt (Bhojraj Bhatta), Dayahang Rai and Satyakala Rai received the excellent Janasewashree award.

Milan Moktan, Dharma Raj Upadhyay, Sita Ram Pokharel, Jeet Bahadur Deuja and Nirmal Sharma received Prabal Janasewashriee medals.
