KATHMANDU, Oct 16: President Bidya Devi Bhandari left here today for a five-day state visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the friendly invitation of her Burmese counterpart U Win Myint. The visit begins today and will last till October 20.
The Head-of-the-State is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, and secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of President.
Prez Bhandari leaves for Bangladesh on a two-day state visit

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel, Nepal Communist Party parliamentary party deputy-leader Subash Nembang and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa were at the VVIP Lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport to see off the President.
Ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, government high-ranking officials and representatives from diplomatic missions in Kathmandu were also present on the occasion.
A contingent of Nepali Army presented a guard of honor to the President.
