KATHMANDU, June 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called the summer session of the Upper House from July 1.
A statement issued by Spokesperson to the President’s office Rup Narayan Bhattarai, on Thursday, said that the president has called for the National Assembly session at 4 pm on July 1, in accordance with Article 93 (1) of the constitution.

A Cabinet meeting held earlier this week had decided to recommend to the President to summon the summer session of the upper house of federal parliament.
Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel had earlier introduced budget through ordinance as the lower house of federal parliament has been dissolved by President Bidya Devi Bhandari for the second time at the recommendation of Prime Minister K P Oli.
